Ayesha Takia was born on April 10, 1980 and grew up in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She comes from a mixed family. Her father, Nishit, is Gujarati, and her mother, Faridah, is half British and half Maharashtrian, an Anglo-Indian Muslim.
